Paper Analysis
Biology
The paper consists of 15 questions from I PU and 45 from II PU.
- All the questions are within the prescribed syllabus.
- Question No. 41 word “Alveolus” should not be used as it is incorrect.
- Question No. 54 word “Population” is used in place of “Parturition” which leads to misrepresentation. However, kannada Version is free from the said mistake.
- Question paper appears to be skewed, for example, 7 questions are from a single chapter
- “Molecular basis of Inheritance”. Whereas, very few questions are from ecology unit.
- A well prepared student can score 80 to 85% marks.
Mathematics

- All the questions are within the prescribed syllabus of I and II PU.
- Paper contains 14 questions from I PU and 46 from II PU.
- Overall it is a moderate question paper in terms of difficulty level.
- Question number 45 in version E is wrong.
- A well prepared student can score 80 to 85%.
Physics
- All the questions are within the prescribed syllabus of I and II PU.
- Paper contains 16 questions from I PU and 44 from II PU.
- Questions are spread out amongst all the prescribed topics, according to the weightage.
- The number of numericals is more than last year (around 50% of the questions).
- Level of difficulty : 35% questions easy, 55% of questions are moderate and 10% questions are difficult.
- A well prepared student can score 80 to 85%.
Chemistry
- A well balanced paper with good representation of all topics of I and II PU.
- Paper contains 17 questions from I PU and 43 from II PU.
- Close to 75% of questions can be considered to be easy.
- The paper has good number of numericals as well.
- Two questions are ambiguous
- Question No. 9 Version- F is not in agreement with NCERT content.
- Question No. 49 Version- F is not properly framed.
