The Lok Sabha elections are round the corner and people are being showered by gifts. The honarable Governor of Kanataka proposed this idea to the department of Karnataka. The PU board however were left in panic.
Similar offers were done in the states of UP and in state of Bihar by the BJP party. The costs were tremendous. It costed them the state a whopping 900 Crores to buy 4.5 lakh laptops.
The board of Karnataka was also in serious doubt as to how they would accumulate the money and which laptop they should purchase and several other questions that the Governor wasn’t able to answer at the moment. Although, many feel this is a promise that might not be fulfilled if they do not win the elections.
