AP students aspiring for IIT seats will face a huge hundle in the form of very high cut off compared to other states. This is because ITT JEE norms that that each aspirant should scope very high percentile in their stage board examination. Since a lot of students pass with very good marks in AP they need to achive 87% marks in inter to achieve eligibility for final selection.
Here are the cut offs in various states
50% or less Meghalaya and Nagaland
50% – 60% Assam, Chattisghad, Goa, Jharkhand,Orissa, Tripura, Uttara Khand, W Bengal
60% – 70 % Maha, Rajsthan,UP, HP, JK, Karnataka, Manipur, MP
70% – 80 % – TN, Kerala and CBSE, Punjab
87% or higher – AP
